Mr Mattress Snapback Hat

I'm proud to introduce this hat in partnership with my friends the Wilson family who own and operate Mr Mattress, an East Vancouver institution since 1964.

The business gets their mattresses made right here in the Lower Mainland and has operated out of the same location since its inception.

Their iconic logo was designed in the 1970s when a renter of the property next to Mr Mattress couldn't make the rent. He lived in one of two houses which used to be located to the East, on the adjacent lot, which the Wilsons owned.

An unnamed graphic designer, he offered that he design them a logo in exchange for the money he owed them. It became an icon of East Vancouver.
