When I released the first issue of my Now You Know BC Almanac, a guy you might recognize from the internet pitched in a CRAZY amount to the Kickstarter.
Tod Maffin from Nanaimo was the only person to put in $1,000 to be recognized as a Diamond Level Donor. If you’ve got a copy of that edition you’ll see his name on the last page.
Tod does incredible work of his own, with over a million followers on social media. He shares stories about the trade war, about Canadian businesses to support, and encourages Americans to move up here to work in healthcare.
I was so surprised to see him subscribe to my almanac this week. I figured he knew that I’d send them to him for free because he’s already been such a huge supporter, but he decided to pitch in even more.
So I decided to make a silly video, talking about the “nerve” he had to become a subscriber.
700,000 people have now watched it, and it’s helped get the word out about me getting close to my goal of 1,000 subscribers for this thing!
We go to print next week and ISSUE TWO ships at the end of the month. If you haven’t yet subscribed you can do that for $25, which gets billed every six months when a new issue ships to you.
